Hi everyone! Sorry i have been unable to post. As you know, about two weeks ago I was in Madrid having the time of my life. No really, I mean there was not a night that I did not sleep before 4AM- of course that was because I was out with friends AND making friends. I think that Madrid will always have a special place in my memories- for reasons that I can and cannot disclose (because I feel as though some are more personal and also because I feel like I can't quite express myself in the way that would be fair to those emotions or memories). I made some Italian, Spanish, French, Mexican, Russian, Eastern European, American, and I don't even know what other kinds of friends. It was great too because I got to speak Spanish, French, and English simultaneously while listening (and understanding) people who speak Italian. At this moment, I am leaning towards making Italian the next language I learn. The rest of that week was just crazy! It was not until that Saturday that I forced myself to not go out because I had a flight at 8 in the morning and had to leave the hostel by 6. Well, the point is that I had an absolutely amazing time.

There really will need to be so much more explanation, but at the moment, I am just going to try and catch you up on my life.

Exactly a week ago, it was my sister's and my birthday! She turned 16 and I turned 20. It's crazy to think how quickly time has passed by- I mean I still remember my 15th birthday party in Mexico! However, last week was also the beginning of my internship! Let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE it! I work with the best people.

Well I hate to say this, but I am also trying to keep the posts short. That and everyday I have to wake-up at 7:30A to get to work by 9:30A and I get out at 6:30P. So that means I should probably go to bed... No worries though, tomorrow is Friday and I may not go out as I feel like I am getting sick (oh poo!). But I guess I will see tomorrow.

Sorry to make this short, but I need my energy for tomorrow! Have a great Thursday and Friday, and hopefully I post again quickly.

This picture here is just a brief look into my room. It is quite nice and spacious. I have so much closet space- the ones you see there are not the only ones. I also have a walk in closet. The bed also pulls out of the wall, so if I wanted more room, I could just put it against the wall.  In this next picture, you can see my own bathroom! I was lucky enough to have one to myself. It´s great because it's like a minitub/shower.Oh, and the washing machine is in there as well.    Here is where i will be having some of my classes. The first is with my Carleton professor (he will be teaching us about Urban Life) and the other will be with a professor here in Spain, Prof. Teresa Delgado, and she will be teaching us about the history of Spain. My latest happenings

Another day in the city of Madrid and let me tell you, so much can happen in the course of, well, less than a week. First of all, I have not been able to update you on a daily basis (because believe I have time!) due to the incompetence of my computer at the moment. Unfortunately, I have been having problems when I start it, as there are times when the screen fails to show; it’s pitch black- no signs of it working whatsoever! This was getting so bothersome (as it has been acting like this for more than a day now) that I restarted my computer so that it was in the same condition it was when I initially got it. However, that also means that I have lost of my pictures- from the time I was in Mexico up until the ones I had taken a few days ago. The only ones that have been saved are those on CDs, those online, and those that I managed to not erase in my camera. The same goes for my music- all gone! No worries though. I will take more here; I have an opportunity to create more memories and

Well hi everyone! I am sure you missed me from the last time I decided to post something. This time I will talk to you about how crazy these first five weeks are going to be. To put it as simply as I possibly can- these first five weeks are going to be crazy and full of work. My first impression of Paris To begin with I hope to tell you about my first week here. Last time I finished by talking about the fact that I was at the airport in Amsterdam. Well, once I boarded the plane there at around 3:30P (around 8:30A CT), all I knew was that I was getting on a plane to my final destination for four months. Exhaustion can only hardly describe what I was feeling at that moment. At most, the flight was about an hour long. All I remember before that hour was getting onto the plane, getting ready for takeoff, closing my eyes (and somewhat waking-up to the departure) and then nothing.
